Shailaja Madhavan: Shailaja has practiced yoga for much of her life. Having enjoyed its gifts both physically and spiritually, she decided in 2000, that it was time for her to impart yoga and its teachings to others. She is an Experienced and Registered (E-RYT) teacher with Yoga Alliance.  She has trained in India at Yoga Vidya Sala and Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram to offer and enhance the therapeutic benefits of yoga. She is a member of and certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT)

Shailaja’s teaching style helps the student connect with their “inner self” through asana, breath and the stillness of meditation. Her classes are informal and friendly with a focus on stretching, leaving you energized and calm all at once.  Pranayama (breath work) is an integral part of her classes. Her passion is to teach meditation – the silence of the meditative state, she believes, leads to an inner listening which forms a bond between the heart and the mind – a way to find the beauty within each soul. In addition to yoga classes, Shailaja offers Yoga for Therapeutic benefits, Meditation, Pranayama, Hatha Yoga Private  and Corporate sessions as well as Workshops.
